Here's a little information about who runs this site, what they do, and where it's run from.

Who
Pet Charities is run by George Rose.

What
George is a web/computery type person, who sits in front of a screen all day and night, and it's not good for him. When not permanently connected to the Internet, he takes care of a couple of Degus called Fraggle and Muppet who came from the Farplace animal rescure sanctuary.

Where
Pet Charities is run from Newcastle upon Tyne, but is UK wide.

What about revenue from adverts?
If ever enough is made from adverts (which I hope will happen one day), then that amount will be given out to one of the charities listed on the site, drawn at random. No profit will be made from the advertising.

How's Pet Charities doing?
There are currently 111 charities listed on this site, and hopefully many more will add themselves. The Pet Charities site had 13696 visits last month, so there's every reason for them to join.

The future
A little insight into the future for you. The Pet Charities search engine is just the start of a range of services that will hopefully aid animal charities. These include online donations tools that will enable any charity to collect money online, and also tools that will enable rehoming centres to display their animals for rehoming online.
